Vardar left without points in a thriller finish

From the derby match of the SEHA Gazprom League group A, Vardar comes home without points. Without several of the standard players, the current champion of this regional competition was defeated by Motor Zaporozhye with 32:31 (13:12). We had 2 chances to come back with at least one point. Chupic missed the last penalty, and the ball hit the goal post.
The host players had a lead most of the match and Vardar waited for a chance in the last minutes of this match. Six minutes to the end, Motor had a lead of 28:25 and then Vardar drew 30:30 in the 58th minute. When the result was 31:31, Timur Dibirov had the ball, but he missed the shot.
In its next attack, Motor scored for a lead, and Vardar had 15 seconds to draw. They fought for a penalty, but Chupic missed. The ball hit the goal post and the host won.
Khalifa Ghedbane did not play this match because he did not get a Ukraine visa, and Stash Skube has a back injury. Stojanche Stoilov and Jose Toledo are injured.
Motor had the initiative from the very beginning and Vardar was an equal opponent, but they did not get a chance to reach a lead. Our game was not stable, we missed Skube, and Dissinger got injured. We had to strengthen our focus.
Although the host had a lead of 11:8, we managed to reduce it to 13:12 before the end of the 1st half. This was the last test for the red-black team before the guest match in Montpellier within the Champions' League next weekend.
