Vardar won their 2nd friendly match in 2020 against the local rival Metalurg with 35:26 (17:15). They played this match without Daniil Shishkarev, Khalifa Ghedbane and Arturs Kugis. Jose Toledo, our right back that had a knee surgery at the beginning of the season, played his first match.
The guests opened the match excellent with a lead of 8:4, which was a sign that something should be changed. Vardar started to play more aggressive and with a series of goals reached a lead of 15:11. After this, they had a constant lead and ended the match with an advantage of 9 goals.
This match was another opportunity for trying new game options before leaving to Germany and playing the Champions' League 11th round against Kiel on 05.02.
Vardar has been preparing for continuation of the Champions' League and on 05.02, they will play against Kiel in Germany. Then, they will play another 3 matches – at home against Motor (15.02), against Porto as guests (22.02) and against Montpellier on 29.02 in Skopje.
