The manager Boris Gjuteski cannot wait for the start of the new season and to see the new members from Ohrid throughout the halls playing matches in the new 2019/2020 season.
"We will train on 4 locations in Ohrid. Mondays and Wednesdays at 19:30 in the elementary school "Hristo Uzunov", Tuesdays and Thursdays at 19:00 in the elementary school "Zhivko Chingo", Mondays and Wednesdays at 18:00 in the elementary school "St. Kliment Ohridski", and Mondays and Fridays at 19:00 in the IFB Fitness Centre. The kids will be interested in playing the league, especially due to the 2nd place we won last year within this league and the tournament "One life one love" – said Gjuteski.
In his opinion, the cooperation with the Vardar Handball Academy significantly contributes to the development of this school in Ohrid, as well as to discovering new handball talents in this region.
"The cooperation with the Academy offers an opportunity to always stay ahead of others and develop under the Vardar brand. Our main goal is to work with the children continuously and hard. At the end of last season, more than 140 children trained in the school and we want to continue with the same pace and quality this year. For the second time, we will compete in the Vardar Junior League with a team of boys born in 2008/09 and girls born in 2006/07. This is a big step forward and a big challenge for both, us and the kids, because the league is a place where children have a chance to be noticed by scouts who can help them grow into professional players through Vardar's selections" – said Gjuteski and added:
"We're constantly working to build a team spirit among the kids who train. In addition to handball, we also engage them in various humanitarian activities, i.e., last season we were involved several times in projects organized by the Red Cross, we had a New Year's party for the handball school members at the local Cuba Libre club, we organized one match per month, we organized weekend gatherings and excursions for the members, last May we organized the tournament "5 for handball" for the first time and more than 300 children participated. It is very important to develop chemistry among the children, to have confidence in each other and to play as a team" – said Gjutevski.
Vardar Sedmerec, See you on the tournament "One life one love" and in the Vardar Junior League.
